  • Duration:3 Days / 2 N
  • Start:Marrakech
  • End:Casablanca
  • Price:Contact Us

Tour Overview

A Marrakech itinerary 10 days long is enough to see far more than Morocco’s famous sights. It gives you time to slow down, meet local people, sleep beneath desert stars, walk through ancient villages, cross the High Atlas Mountains, and experience the contrast between the Sahara and the Atlantic coast.

This Morocco 10 day itinerary from Marrakech is designed as a private journey, beginning and ending in Marrakech. Rather than simply collecting destinations, the route follows the changing landscapes of Morocco — from the lively streets of the Red City to mountain valleys, centuries-old kasbahs, golden Sahara dunes, palm-filled oases, and the relaxed atmosphere of Essaouira.

Your journey begins in Marrakech. The road then leads south, into the mountains, deeper into the desert, and finally back toward the Atlantic before returning to Marrakech.

Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Marrakech – Your Moroccan Story Begins

Your Moroccan adventure begins in Marrakech.

After arriving, your private driver will welcome you and take you to your traditional riad in or near the historic medina. There is no need to rush. Settle in, enjoy a Moroccan mint tea, and let the atmosphere of the Red City slowly introduce itself.

Later, when the afternoon light begins to soften, head into the medina with a local guide for a food experience through the heart of Marrakech.

Follow the aromas through the narrow streets, discover small food stalls and local specialties, and taste some of the flavors that have shaped Moroccan life for generations.

As evening arrives, make your way toward Jemaa el-Fnaa. The square changes completely after sunset — storytellers, musicians, food stalls, and the sounds of the medina create your first unforgettable impression of Morocco.

Overnight: Marrakech
Experience: Medina food tour

Day 2:Walk Through History, Taste Marrakech – A Day in the Red City

Today, you discover the city behind the famous red walls.

Your local guide will lead you through the historic medina, where every narrow street seems to reveal another story. Visit the elegant Bahia Palace, explore the atmospheric ruins of El Badi Palace, and step inside the Saadian Tombs, where the history of Marrakech’s royal families comes to life.

Continue to the Majorelle Garden, a peaceful contrast to the energy of the medina.

But Marrakech is not only about monuments.

In the afternoon, step into a traditional Moroccan kitchen for a private cooking experience. Begin by visiting a local market to choose fresh ingredients, then learn how Moroccan dishes are prepared using traditional techniques and spices.

Finally, sit down and enjoy the meal you helped create.

It is one thing to taste Morocco.

It is another to learn how Morocco tastes.

Overnight: Marrakech

Day 3:Across the High Atlas – Mountain Roads, Ancient Kasbahs & Aït Benhaddou

Today, the landscape changes dramatically.

Leave Marrakech behind and climb into the High Atlas Mountains, following the winding road toward the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The city slowly disappears as mountain villages, terraced fields, and dramatic valleys take its place.

Along the way, stop to admire panoramic mountain views and learn more about life in the remote Berber communities of the Atlas.

Continue south toward Aït Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most extraordinary fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Walk through its ancient passageways, climb toward the top of the ksar, and look across the surrounding landscape. The walls, towers, and earthen buildings make it easy to imagine the caravans that once passed through this region on their way across the Sahara.

A little later, arrive in Ouarzazate, the gateway to southern Morocco, where ancient kasbahs meet the cinematic landscapes that have made this desert city famous around the world.

Overnight: Ouarzazate

Day 4:Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Dades Valley

The journey continues deeper into southern Morocco.

Leave Ouarzazate behind and journey into the breathtaking Draa Valley, where endless palm groves, ancient villages, and dramatic desert landscapes unfold along one of Morocco’s most captivating oasis routes. Thousands of palm trees stretch through the valley, surrounded by mountains and ancient villages.

This was once part of the great caravan routes connecting Morocco with the Sahara and sub-Saharan Africa.

Continue through the fragrant Valley of Roses, where lush gardens and traditional villages give way to the dramatic cliffs and winding landscapes of the Dades Valley.

As the afternoon progresses, the landscape becomes increasingly rugged. Red cliffs rise around the road, kasbahs appear between the trees, and small villages cling to the edges of the valley.

Later, arrive at your accommodation surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Dades region.

Tonight is about slowing down and enjoying the silence of southern Morocco.

Overnight: Dades Valley

Day 5:From Dades to the Sahara – Dramatic Gorges, Desert Roads & Golden Dunes

Today, the road leads deeper into Morocco’s wild landscapes.

After breakfast, journey toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on either side of the valley.

.Walk between enormous limestone cliffs while a small river runs through the valley below.

Leaving the gorge behind, continue through ever-changing desert landscapes toward Erfoud and Rissani, where rocky plains and distant dunes signal that the Sahara is drawing closer.

Then, suddenly, the horizon changes.

The golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear.

Leave your vehicle behind and begin your camel ride into the Sahara as the sun starts its descent. The dunes turn gold, then orange, while the shadows grow longer across the sand.

Your private luxury desert camp awaits.

After settling into your private tent, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner around the campfire, accompanied by Berber music beneath an incredible desert sky.

Tonight, the Sahara becomes your home.

Overnight: Private luxury desert camp
Experience: Camel ride & Sahara sunset

Day 6:Into the Sahara – Nomadic Encounters, Desert Rhythms & Golden Dunes

Wake early if you wish and climb a nearby dune to watch the sunrise.

As the first light reaches the Sahara, the endless dunes slowly change color. Return to camp for breakfast before setting out to discover the desert beyond the famous dunes.

Today, explore the region by private 4×4.

Visit a nomadic community and learn about a way of life that has adapted to the harsh desert environment for generations. Continue to Khamliya, a village known for its Gnawa musical tradition, where you can experience the rhythms and stories of local musicians.

Later, visit a seasonal lake or desert oasis depending on conditions, and explore the surrounding landscapes.

There is also time for sandboarding, walking through the dunes, or simply finding a quiet place to watch the desert move with the wind.

Return to camp for another peaceful evening beneath the stars.

Overnight: Private luxury desert camp
Experience: Desert 4×4 Adventure, Nomadic Life, Gnawa Rhythms & Sandboarding

Day 7:Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fes

Today, leave the Sahara behind and begin your journey north toward Fes.

Wake early if you wish to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before breakfast. Then, bid farewell to Merzouga and travel through the dramatic landscapes of southeastern Morocco.

Follow the Ziz Valley, where endless palm groves stretch between rugged mountains and rocky plateaus. Continue through Er-Rachidia and across the changing landscapes of the Middle Atlas.

As the road climbs, the scenery transforms once again. Desert landscapes gradually give way to forests, mountain villages, and cooler highland air.

Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints and small communities where you can experience a quieter side of Morocco away from the major tourist routes.

Continue toward Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic and culturally important cities.

By evening, arrive in Fes and settle into your riad.

After the silence of the Sahara and the open landscapes of the south, the ancient streets of Fes offer a completely different atmosphere.

Overnight: Fes

Day 8:Fes – Chefchaouen – Tangier

Today, your journey continues north toward Morocco’s famous Blue City before reaching the Atlantic coast.

After breakfast, leave Fes and travel through the green landscapes of northern Morocco toward Chefchaouen.

Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is known for its blue-painted buildings, winding streets, small squares, and peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Take time to explore the medina, walk through its blue alleyways, discover local craft shops, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch with views over the surrounding mountains.

Later, continue toward Tangier, Morocco’s gateway between Africa and Europe.

As you approach the city, the landscape changes again, with the Rif Mountains giving way to the northern coastline.

Arrive in Tangier and enjoy time to explore the city. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Kasbah, walk through the old medina, or enjoy the atmosphere around Cap Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea meet.

After traveling from the Sahara to the mountains and finally to the coast, Tangier offers one of the most fascinating contrasts of the journey.

Overnight: Tangier

Day 9:Tangier – Rabat – Casablanca

Today, leave Tangier and continue south along Morocco’s Atlantic coast toward the capital, Rabat.

After breakfast, begin your journey through the northern countryside before arriving in Rabat, a city where Morocco’s royal heritage, history, and modern life come together.

Explore the historic Kasbah of the Udayas, walk through the peaceful Andalusian-style streets, and visit the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

Take some time to enjoy Rabat’s relaxed atmosphere before continuing south toward Casablanca.

As the road continues along the Atlantic coast, the landscape gradually becomes more urban.

Arrive in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and an important economic center.

Depending on your arrival time, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, stroll along the Corniche, or enjoy your final evening beside the Atlantic Ocean.

From the Sahara to the ancient streets of Fes, the blue mountain town of Chefchaouen, the northern coast, and the historic capital of Rabat, your journey has crossed some of Morocco’s most diverse landscapes.

Overnight: Casablanca

Day 10:Casablanca – A Final Morning & Departure

Your final morning in Morocco is intentionally relaxed.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your departure schedule. You might take one last walk along the Corniche, visit the Hassan II Mosque if you have not already done so, or simply enjoy a final Moroccan coffee before your journey home.

When it is time to leave, your private driver will transfer you to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport.

Your journey ends here.

But Morocco leaves with you — in the silence of the Sahara, the ancient streets of Fes, the blue alleys of Chefchaouen, the northern coast of Tangier, the historic heart of Rabat, and the Atlantic breeze of Casablanca.

This is more than a 10-day Morocco itinerary.

It is a journey from the golden dunes of the Sahara to the blue streets of Chefchaouen, through the historic cities of Fes, Tangier, and Rabat, and finally to Casablanca.

Ten days. One country. Countless memories.
