Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Casablanca – Where Your Moroccan Story Begins

Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be greeted at the airport or picked up directly from your accommodation, marking the beginning of your Morocco itinerary from Casablanca. Casablanca is the country’s largest city and economic hub, offering a fascinating blend of modern life and historic landmarks.

Your visit begins with the impressive Hassan II Mosque, dramatically positioned above the Atlantic Ocean and considered one of the largest mosques in the world. After time to admire its architecture and ocean views, enjoy free time for lunch.

Depending on your arrival time, the afternoon may include a visit to Mohammed V Square, a photo stop at the legendary Rick’s Café, and a relaxing walk along the Corniche, where cafés and ocean views create a lively coastal atmosphere. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2:Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen | From the Coast to the Blue Mountains

After breakfast, leave Casablanca behind and follow the Atlantic coast toward Rabat, Morocco’s political capital and one of the country’s historic imperial cities.

Rabat offers a different atmosphere from Casablanca. Here, modern Morocco meets centuries of history.

Your exploration includes the impressive Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the charming Kasbah of the Oudayas, perched above the Bou Regreg River. Take your time to appreciate the whitewashed streets and peaceful corners before continuing north.

After lunch, the scenery gradually changes as you travel through the Moroccan countryside toward the Rif Mountains.

Then, almost like a scene appearing from nowhere, the blue streets of Chefchaouen come into view.

Known as Morocco’s Blue City, Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted houses, winding lanes, colorful doors, and relaxed mountain atmosphere. Spend the evening wandering through the medina, discovering small shops and quiet viewpoints as the last light touches the blue walls.

Overnight: Chefchaouen

Day 3:Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes | Through Morocco’s Ancient History

Wake up surrounded by the blue streets of Chefchaouen and enjoy some free time to explore before continuing your 7 days tour from Casablanca.

This morning is perfect for a relaxed walk through the medina. Follow the narrow lanes, photograph the blue houses, and enjoy the slower rhythm of mountain life.

Later, your private journey continues toward Volubilis, where Morocco’s Roman past comes alive.

Among olive fields and rolling countryside, you will discover the remains of this ancient Roman city. Walk between old columns and beautifully preserved mosaics while imagining the life that once existed here nearly two thousand years ago.

Leaving Volubilis behind, the road leads to Meknes, a majestic imperial city where Morocco’s rich history comes alive. The city was shaped by Sultan Moulay Ismail and is known for its impressive historic gates and royal heritage.

Explore Bab Mansour, the Royal Stables, Sahrij Souani, the historic granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

Later in the afternoon, continue toward Fes, where you will check into a traditional riad.

Overnight: Fes

Day 4:Discover Fes | A Journey into Morocco’s Cultural Heart

Today, leave the vehicle behind and discover Fes on foot with a local guide.

Known as Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital, Fes is a city where history is still part of everyday life.

Begin with a panoramic tour around the city. Stop at the impressive gates of the Royal Palace, explore the historic Mellah, the former Jewish Quarter, and climb to Borj Sud for a panoramic view over the ancient medina.

You will also have the opportunity to visit a traditional ceramic workshop and see Moroccan craftsmanship up close.

Then comes the heart of the experience: the Fes Medina.

Enter through its ancient streets and let the city unfold around you. Your local guide will lead you through a maze of historic buildings, markets, workshops, and hidden corners.

Discover the Al Attarine Madrasa, visit Al Quaraouiyine University and Mosque, and see the famous Chouara Tanneries, where traditional leather-making continues today.

The sounds of craftsmen, the colors of the souks, and the scent of spices make Fes feel less like a museum and more like a living chapter of Moroccan history.

After your guided tour, return to your riad and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Overnight: Fes

Day 5:Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga | Into the Sahara

Today, the landscape begins to change dramatically.

Leave Fes in the morning and head south toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop is Ifrane, a mountain town famous for its European-style architecture, green spaces, and cool climate. Its distinctive appearance has earned it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.”

Continue toward the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may encounter Barbary macaques among the ancient cedar trees.

The road then leads to Midelt, a mountain town surrounded by dramatic landscapes, where you will stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, the scenery becomes increasingly arid as you cross the mountains and continue through the Ziz Valley. Palm-filled oases appear between rocky landscapes, creating one of the most striking contrasts of the journey.

Eventually, the first dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon.

You have reached Merzouga.

Here, your desert experience begins. Climb onto your camel and cross the golden dunes as the afternoon light changes the color of the Sahara around you.

Find a high dune and watch the sun slowly disappear across the endless desert.

Then continue to your luxury desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner awaits. As night falls, gather around the campfire for Berber music and look up at a sky filled with stars.

This is one of those Moroccan moments that stays with you long after the journey ends.

Overnight: Luxury desert camp in Merzouga

Day 6:Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley | From Desert to Canyons

Wake early and step outside your tent before sunrise.

The Sahara is completely different in the early morning. Watch the first rays of sunlight reach the dunes and turn them golden before enjoying breakfast at the camp.

Return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, then continue west.

Your next stop is Rissani, a historic trading town and former capital of the Tafilalet region. Its traditional souk offers a glimpse into everyday local life and the trading traditions of southeastern Morocco.

Continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and stone workshops, before driving through palm-filled villages and oasis landscapes around Touroug and Tinjdad.

Soon, the road reaches one of the most dramatic landscapes in the region: Todra Gorge.

Towering canyon walls rise on both sides of the road, creating an unforgettable natural corridor. Take some time to walk through the gorge, enjoy the surroundings, and have lunch nearby.

In the afternoon, continue toward the Dades Valley.

The landscape becomes increasingly rugged, with winding roads, red rock formations, and oasis villages appearing between the mountains. Stop at the famous Monkey Fingers formations and enjoy panoramic views over the valley.

As the sun begins to set, settle into your hotel or riad and enjoy dinner surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of the Dades Valley.

Overnight: Dades Valley

Day 7:Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech | The Final Chapter

Your final day begins with a journey through some of southern Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes.

Leave the Dades Valley and travel toward Kalaat M’Gouna, known for its roses and traditional rose products. Continue through the palm groves of Skoura, where green oasis landscapes contrast beautifully with the surrounding dry mountains.

The road then brings you to Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara and one of Morocco’s most famous film-making locations.

From Ouarzazate, continue toward one of the highlights of your 7 days tour from Casablanca: Ait Ben Haddou.

This ancient fortified village, or ksar, rises dramatically from the surrounding landscape. Its earthen buildings and narrow passages have made it one of Morocco’s most recognizable historic sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Take time to walk through its old streets, climb toward the higher levels, and enjoy the panoramic views.

After lunch, begin the final mountain crossing of your journey.

The road climbs through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy the changing mountain scenery.

Eventually, the landscape opens up and Marrakech comes into view.

Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening, where your private driver will drop you at your accommodation or the airport.

Your 7 days tour from Casablanca comes to an end here—but the memories of the Atlantic coast, blue streets, ancient cities, mountain roads, and Sahara sunsets travel home with you.
